It's the first feature documentary to tell the story of the homeless in the town of Amherst, Massachusetts, and also the first to expose a growing phenomenon of poverty in college towns across America.

was founded by Sari Gagnon at Counterfeit Cow Productions, in 2015, to create equal opportunities for women in the film industry, with a focus on providing resources for women to collaborate with other women to produce film projects that reflect us.

 

The Women's Only Project, is just that: A film project written by, produced by, filmed by, and performed by ONLY WOMEN.

 

Each year to WOP holds a script submission competition, offers auditions for actresses of all ages, and accepts resumes from female filmmakers. CCP sponsors a film screening for all projects and submits them to film festivals all over the world. Learn More...

Each year Counterfeit Cow Productions participates in a 48hr Film Project under Team Classic Stanley, under Team Leader Ian MacDonald.

 

The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which our team have a blast making a movie. All writing, shooting, editing and scoring must be completed in just 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world.

 

It's great fun for all of us to flex our creative skills and push each other to new heights!

a Pod Cast Radio Show that Promotes Independent Films, Music, and Art and the Artists who make 'em. Hosted by Filmmaker Sari Gagnon.

 

The show to allows artists the opportunity to discuss their work. The show airs in a live stream, once a week, featuring a new artist each show.

 

Recordings of each show are posted on the website and promoted through the show’s various social media platforms. The show is an interview style broadcast, which shows film clips and music from upcoming projects, and includes segments of what’s newsworthy or trending in the community from week to week.

As part of an outreach effort for Documentary "Homeless in a College Town" Counterfeit Cow Productions worked hard to place a statue that doubles as a piggy bank in downtown Amherst, MA.

 

All the proceeds go to the local homeless shelter in town to aid in their day to day efforts.

 

This project has become so successful that other college communities wanted to do the same! So Counterfeit Cow Productions team goes to universities to help them create art installations, based on their school mascots, that will raise fund for their local services.

An original concept created by Counterfeit Cow Productions, Weak Days, is an “all inclusive media package”, which bridges several platforms including; film, television, sketches, multi-media campaigns, and more.

Imagine the seven days of the week are real people, who have jumped off the calendar and into the real world in present day. Each character has embodied the physical and emotional stereotypes society has given them over time, with personality traits that were shaped by history. 

What would it be like if Monday was a real person? Would everyone really hate him? Would Friday always be partying? We take these characters, and stories, and not only distribute them traditionally, but brand them individually, in order to create and on going promotional campaign for future advertising. Artist, Sari Gagnon, has masterfly combined her love of sculpting and her love of cinematography into this adorable series of clever, short, stop-motion claymation films.

 

Each are unique in their own right, with endearing characters and funny little sentiments, loved by many young and old.

 

It takes several hours to complete just one minute of stop motion animation, with roughly 30 frames per second.

The Marshall Tapes

The series pilot, written by Director, Matt Heron-Duranti, is about a camera crew who are investigating a haunted house. In the story the characters are investigating the whereabouts of two paranormal researchers who went missing in the haunted house, leaving behind nothing but mysterious audio recordings.

 

The cast of “The Marshall Tapes” includes Michael Barra from Law and Order and The Amazing Spiderman, Lorrie Bacon from Family Problems, Dan Mauro from Pleading Sanity, Ian MacDonald from Mean of Green, and Zach Panciera from The Little Hollandaise. Learn More...
